Frye stipendium 2014 awarded to Sanaz Berahmani

On Tuesday December 9th 2014, the Radboud University Nijmegen has awarded ten promising female researchers with the Frye grant 2014. Our Ph.D.-student Sanaz Berahmani is one of the laureates. See Radboud University for Frye stipendia 2014.
The grant has been named after Dr. I.B.M. Frye, who was one of the first female scientists at Radboud University Nijmegen in 1953. The stipends aim to encourage female Ph.D.-students to pursue a career in science after they have finished their dissertations. The grant involves a sum of 3,500 euro.

Winners of the 5th Grand Challenge Competition to Predict In Vivo Knee Loads

Our project on patient-specific musculoskeletal modelling of TKA has been awarded the first prize in the Grand Knee Challenge competition during the 7th World Congress of Biomechanics, July 6-11, 2014, Boston, Massachusetts USA.

Scientific Cooperation with China

Prof. dr. ir. Nico Verdonschot benoemd tot hoogleraar

March 28th 2014
Prof. dr. ir. Nico Verdonschot is met ingang van 15 februari 2014 bij het Radboudumc benoemd tot hoogleraar Biomechanische diagnostiek en evaluatiemethoden in de orthopedie. Prof. Verdonschot is leider van de sectie Biomechanica, van het Orthopaedic Research Laboratory (ORL) binnen het Radboudumc. Hij combineert deze leerstoel met zijn hoogleraarschap Implantaat Biomechanicaaan bij de Universiteit Twente.

European ‘Advanced Grant’ for Prof. Nico Verdonschot

The European Commission has awarded Prof. Nico Verdonschot a grant worth €2.5 million. The grant will enable Nico Verdonschot to continue and expand his pioneering work in the field of diagnostic and evaluation methods for orthopaedic patients.
