Erim Özdemir, B.Sc.

About me

Currently I am doing the Master of Medicine at the Radboud University, which I expect to finish in 2024. Since 2020 I am active as a researcher at the department of Orthopedics and currently doing my PhD as well.

This is under the supervision of Dr. Wim Rijnen, Dr. Jetze Visser, and Professor Wim Schreurs.

Research Impression

Total hip arthroplasty (THA) is a widely applied procedure for osteoarthritis of the hip. The procedure is less often used for younger patients, due to a fear of complications and a possible multitude of complicated revision procedures in their future. Varying studies show the benefits of THA in these patients. In this project, we explore the diverse long-term outcomes of THA in younger patients and complicated revision procedures.
